[DSLReports] AT&T Unveils Long-Awaited Shared Data Plans - Page 3

Wow, these prices are insane. I'm with Bell, and I pay $70/mo for 550 minutes, 6pm-7am free calling, unlimited text/voicemail/call display/voice to text/call forward, unlimited social app use, free long distance/minutes to 10 numbers of my choice, and 6GB/mo.

Data sharing between devices is free, to my knowledge.

People are going nuts on the DSL report forum. I don't know how you can defend any cellular carrier currently. They've acknowledged there is a business model they're desperate to protect.

When I get my data speeds I do enjoy them as well, they are pretty terrible here in Eastern Washington.

They aren't that bad. I have decent 3G/4G speeds in Central Washington. My real question is how do you pay $55 for that plan?

It's really tempting to return my VZW SG3 within the 14 day return period and go to T-mobiles monthly plan but I just don't want to be stuck with terrible coverage and without my grandfathered VZW data. I have no idea how good T-mobiles coverage in northern california is.

Edit: straight talk uses AT&T's network right?

Wow the US really sucks.

My plan:
1000 Minutes
1000 Texts
1000MB data + if I go over, it limits speed to 128kbit/s but I'm not charged extra per MB
EUR 8.00 /month

for every 100 unused minutes, I get back 20c. So practically its 6.60 or so a month, i.e. ~$10.

You choose. It is a BYOD plan bring your own device and you choose if you want a T Mobile compatible sim or At&t compatible sim.

At&t has better coverage and T Mobile has better speeds if you have signal.

If you have a credit union they take 15% off your monthly bill, and there is a way to get the plan cheaper if you go through an Apple store combination of those two things means 2 lines for $110 after taxes I pay half my friend pays the other half bam $55 a month :

Edit: Sprint is awful here all of eastern washington to all of Idaho, its bad. Although Central and Western Wa may be fine since I havent been there yet. Only good place we get for service is in the store because they have a microcell. Which isn't the least bit ethical.
