I think the authorities may have something to say about this...

I mean, look at the riots in ENGLAND last August. The Police trawled thousands of hours of footage, some of which on YouTube, and made nearly 4,000 arrests from it.

If all the faces were blurred out... then we have a problem.

Also "protect your childs identity." If you're so concerned, you wouldn't be uploading the video in the first place, would you?

Besides, aren't there CCTV cameras every where in England anyways?

Yeah.. the place where I live near (Falkirk, Scotland) is a small town of about 50,000 and has more cameras than San Francisco :|

It's worse in England. You have a point, but still a lot of arrests etc. have been made because of this. I know they don't have a right, but no doubt someone somewhere will flag this up.

That's a weak argument though... it would be like saying we should not be allowed to encrpyt our IM and emails because it makes it harder for the authorities to read.

Interesting and useful. I can see this being very unpopular with certain law enforcement and political leaders though, which is no bad thing.

I wonder if it is possible to unscramble the face - or if it really is based on a completely random system. I bet organisations like the NSA have some very clever people working on that.
