They don't overclock nearly as well as the Intel chipsets but looking at it now, it doesn't matter. If you're getting the X6800 then you won't really need to raise that FSB all that much.

No, just that the Nvidia chipsets for intel at the moment are crap. The 680i chipset should change all of that though - by a huge margin.

You realise that is only PC2 5300? Not that great at all.

It says on the specs under chipset, when you buy the motherboard.

They use D9GHM chips, the same D9GHM chips that are doing 1000mhz+ at 4-4-4

Intel chipsets are 965 and 975.

Nvidia are NF4SLI and NF590SLI.

Ah, I haven't read too much about DDR2 chips. Do you not think chips rated at that speed would be better though? More expensive I know... but he seems to have this 50% off deal whatever it is.

After some reading I have noticed that SLI can be enabled on 965/975, but you will not get the full x16 bandwidth and you will have to use modded drivers (from what I've just read).

The "deal" is while I am doing my masters using computers, the U of C owns 50% of the machine. Once completed, I must let them use computer divided programs (ie folding at home type things) for an additional year. At this time I can purchase their share of the computer at current market value, which in 3 years, lol. They do it to get a lot of high end computers to help in their work, and only have half the bill
