[Worth it?] Gigabyte M6900

Looking to get rid of my dell stock and razer abysus and get something that's more reliable.

This is the mouse im looking into:
http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826146020

Just wondering if it's any good for the price.

PS. If anyone has a better suggestion for a mouse around this price range then let me now.

PSS. This is the best mouse I've ever used for gaming: http://www.amazon.com/Microsoft-D66-00069-Wheel-Optical-Mouse/dp/B00025O7FC/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1342648001&sr=8-1&keywords=wheel+optical+mouse+1.1
If anyone can link me to a site that ships that mouse to Canada it will be greatly appreciated. (Newegg stopped selling them. Amazon.ca doesn't sell them).

The right click in my abyssus completely snapped. the tip of where the plastic hits the actual click broke right off. And I'm not a fan of razer, I just bought it for cheap.

Closest mouse in term of sensor to the 1.1 afaik would be either the zowie am or the g400. You can have a g400 new for around 40$. You wont find Zowie stuff in local store, you will have to order it online. Newegg store them but they go for 60$, IMO it's expensive for what you get.

Not sure about the gigabyte, I never heard of them, actually.

I owned the M6980 until the mouse wheel decided that it would stop working. I wrote a brief review on the mouse -> http://www.overclock.net/products/gigabyte-m6980

If I'm not mistaken the 6980 has a laser sensor compared to an optical mouse and that is the only difference between them. Admittedly I didn't focus on the sensor or the way the mouse tracks in my review, but rather simply went over some of the physical attributes of it. For the price they are nice mice, they do feel cheap though. Mine didn't last a year, and I do take care of my stuff so that might be something to consider. Couple that with no response from Gigabyte as to how to RMA it or get it fixed, you might be better off looking at a logitech offering.

Overall, if you are on a tight budget, you could do much worse. They look and feel cheap, but it never skipped a beat in terms of gaming performance and Gigabyte to their credit have put a lot into a budget package.
