iDevice emulator.

Thread Starter
I'm writing a website just now, and think it will be a large success. For that reason, I need to write iDevice specific code. Now, I hate Apple but respect that their gadgets are massively popular all over th globe and it'd be a stupid business move to miss them out.

I want to be able to have an "emulator" on screen so I can see what the code looks like on iPhones/ iPod touches/ iPads. I'm not sure this even exists, as according to my last few searches it doesn't.

If anyone knows of software which will let me do this please let me know.

Thanks
Main Rig.

It doesn't exist without buying into the whole Apple development suite (which means buying a Mac).

However, you can cheat: resize Safari or Chrome to the approx window size of the device and change the user agent to that of the iDevice.

It's far from a perfect solution, but so long as you follow Apple's HTML spec then you should get an idea whether your web app works or not - in lieu of actually testing / borrowing a physical ipad.

I feared that would be the case. That's a good idea though, I will ride with that as there's no way I'm paying $100 to develop for their device...

Thanks
