Good info! I wonder if this means that the issue varies from unit to unit. That's not very reassuring to new buyers though.

Notice that Ducky new Dragon Tenkeyless Backlit model has a DIP switch to turn that funky NKRO mode off.

Tricks often QUACK something.

I'm sure this is it. I had a Choc Mini that was able to work in UEFI just fine but I could not use it on the Safe Mode selection screen. All I could do was wait for the 30 second timer to run out and choose the default option.

I also tried a new USB cable on the keyboard in case that was the issue. What can I do from here? I assume OCN keyboards don't carry any warranty.

The boards do carry a 1 year warranty but this falls under an incompatibility problem which isn't normally covered by the warranty.

I did make a mistake in that I have the G2 Pro not the G2; which uses a different microcontroller.

I cannot guarantee anything, but send me an email at tatortot (at) overclocked.net and I will see if we can have something setup with Ducky to have the board replaced by a normal DK9008 or DK9008 G2 Pro.

I've messaged an Asus rep to see if they know if it's an incompatibility issue, and if it is, if they can fix it. If it is an incompatibility issue I agree that that's not a warrantable cause since it's a design issue rather than a production issue. I hope that a disclaimer will be put in this keyboard's product information so that others don't unexpectedly encouter the same problem. I googled the keyboards model number and "UEFI" and aside from my threads, the only other occurance that came up was on a Russian forum. I wish there was some repository to see which keyboards work with which UEFI/BIOS.

lately there has been some issues with regards to some KB due to the bios. The best fix would be an updated bios. I too had an issue with my ud3h for my K90 KB where i couldnt access the bios. On the forums, they were aware of the issue and rls'd a beta bios (1.5) later the rls and that fixed the issue.

We did do a product test with a variety of setups, including multiple OS's & hardware configurations with the only issue being OSX from Apple.

Thanks! I hope Ducky can come up with a more elegant solution in the future (other than that dip switch) for implementing NKRO over USB compatibility with UEFI/BIOS.

lol... Just my luck, as I was typing this post one of the rubber feet on the risers snapped off =P. Nothing some glue won't fix though.

For others: I do know the 1008 works on the P8Z77 series (my friend has one).

Any of the standard boards should work fine, and I do believe it's just the normal G2 that has that issue as the G2 Pro which has NKRO over USB does not have that issue and it does not have the DIP switch either.
