[iRacing] Free 6 month sub!

I have heard a lot about iRacing and just hadn't felt like picking up any addition sub fee's so I haven't tried it yet.

Today I seen THIS. Basically you fill out a registration form and they will email you code for a 6 month sub. Cadillac is sponsoring the promo.

Any one else have any experience with iRacing? I got the code for 6 free months, but didn't want to start it without a steering wheel. After reading the reviews and checking out the youtube video, it looks pretty good.

I racing is the best racing simulator that you could use get your hands on. The graphics are good the physics are exelent and the online is the best racing experience you could imagine. It can get to be expensive but if you stick to one racing series you only need to buy a track every couple of weeks. i have most of the oval tracks because it oval racing is my favorite part of the game. I usually run the nascar truck serier or nationwide series. I like road racing also but i just find nascar so much fun.

 

by the way if you like it the last thing you will worry about is paying for a track.

Great racing sim, lots of fun. Lots of racing to do, and available throughout the day, which is great for hectic schedules!

Just a warning for those of you without a credit card, you will need one to set up the free 6 month account. Kind of sucks for people like me that do not have one (I only pay with cash or debit, I have seen way to many people rack up credit card debt)

I have been iRacing for about a month now. Its good fun and by far the best racing sim or game I've played.

Just to be clear.
*Your code is for new iRacing members only and can be used to open a new iRacing membership. The code will expire on 5/1/2013.

I haven't got around to that yet, I just get pre paid visa cards when I need to buy something online. Then again the only thing I buy online is steam games, since I live 30 minutes from a ncix store

I'm giving this thread a free bump, the promotion still works for a free 3 month sub.

The game is to much fun, when you get it set up with head tracking.

I set up my head tracking for around 15 dollars (ten of which was for a no name wii remote)

All it is, is a IR led from a old remote powered by a AA battery, housed in a piece of styrofoam and lots of duct tape. I use a wii remote for the IR camera.

The software I use is Freetrack (should work with all trackir games when you use trackir fixer, not needed for iracing since it has native freetrack support)
