Aquacomputer new reservoirs, Aqualis - Page 4

I just received my aqualis reservoir and am noticing that the threads on the center compression rod are very visible when fully sealed with the reservoir top. This is a bit concerning to me not just from a leak standpoint, but it honestly looks like it could have been totally avoided.

Heres a picture to illustrate my point.

Cheers chaps, Appreciate the interest biggrin.gif

Anyway.. Just posted the Review HERE .... It's not quite done & dusted with yet as I'm waiting to get my hands on a 12 > 24v controller for my Aquacomputer USB D5 Pumps & will update the post with a video of the effects as soon as I am able to get a 12 > 24v controller...

Thanks again Peeps thumb.gif

Can I use the top of the res as input port? I know that I am going to miss the waterfall effect but it isn't a big deal anyway.

I am not 100% sure you can use the top as an inlet Shoggy will have to chime in to let you know if it would work

Like reaper, I'm not 100% you can use the center port in the top for a return.. But if you can't, maybe you could get an XT Res Top like this:

Not sure if AC will sell the tops separately but maybe worth a shot if all else fails. :-)

You were right, I asked directly at aquacomputer.de and their response is that its not recommended to use the upper port of the aqualis res as inlet, it might cause problems with the way that the water flows through the reservoir. An an alternative I can use an XT res top like the one Nornam posted.
