So I've gone through 3 G9x (god I love Logitech CS) and a Sensei in record time, with each showing signs of the clicks breaking within weeks or in the Sensei's case, a few days. The problem invariably starts in the right click which feels like its being bent or something when pressed down. Eventually it gets harder and harder to press and starts requiring varying amounts of force to press down, and if I run my finger along it with even a small amount of force it feels sort of loose. This does happen to the left click too but always at a much slower rate.
I grip my mouse a bit weird, I tend to have the pressure more towards the center back of the mouse rather than towards the front. I think my grip could best be described as claw/fingertip. I also seem to keep two fingers on the right click, but that might have been an adaptation after it started breaking. I have no idea whats normal and what isn't as far as grips go. Another oddity is that I have never been comfortable pushing side buttons on any mouse ever, to the point that I can't really use them in gaming.
So, a few specific questions:
1. Is it possible my grip is the issue? My desk is a lot higher than my chair arm which seems to relate to how far I'm comfortable with my hand going, but I have no idea if this is an issue. Until the clicks start breaking everything is pretty comfortable. Alternately, is it possible these mice are just too big for my hands?
2. I like the Sensei a lot. Click issue aside it feels great and the sensor is amazing. Is it possible the Sensei Raw might have resolved this problem?
3. If the size of the mouse is a problem, what might work better thats still a high end laser mouse? The new Razer Taipan seems to have favorable reviews around here and a very different grip, would that be a reasonable pick?
4. Once this issue starts coming up, is there any realistic resolution that doesn't involve taking the mouse apart, or should I just RMA it?
I realize I'm not being terribly clear, but any help would be greatly appreciated.
