corsair carbide 500r front usb ports/audio ports stopped working

just noticed that my front usb ports are not working. anyone else have this problem? header is plugged into motherboard, nothing looks damaged on the cables themselves. plug seems to be fine on the back of the panel.

i also have a problem where if i plug in the mic, then plug in my headset, it will suddenly activate, then disconnect. weird. case is about a year old. quite disappointed. i figured a corsair case would last longer than this.

well, could the wire be cut somehow or have fallen out of the socket on the motherboard?

You mentioned in your OP that you are having problems with both the USB3.0 And audio/mic connectors so...after reseating them and having the same issue, follow Azuredragon1s advice and submit an RMA through their website It's painless and they should send you out a replacement Front I/O Panel FOC.

yeah i had them send me a front panel as it was scratched and the mesh was bent in when i got it, had it in 2 days FOC. great customer service

i submitted an RMA

hopefully they will not tell me that it's been too long, plus i can't find my original receipt either, so hopefully that's no longer a problem. sucks because i really like the case, however, i have 7 year old coolermaster cases that work just fine. if they can't rma me just the front I/O panel, i'll just get a coolermaster case.

when i bought the case, the mesh on the top fan cover had a dent in it. i didn't really care much since it's under my desk.

Agreed. Great Tech/CS support departments...unfortunately their Quality Control dept. could use a little QC...way too many of these types of posts out there.
