i want to buy a gpu for my friend and he uses these softwares

Adobe illustrator

which gpu is the best for these softwares?

Budget is 350 ~ 400 $ it depends

I think gt 460 would be good..Someone correct me if I'm wrong..but I think they gimped some of the stuff adobe uses after the 4-series.I'm pretty sure Nvidia is better than AMD for what you're trying to do.

HD 5770 is good, but a major upgrade would be a HD 7850,what about unlocking some cores on that cpu?

maybe a 580 GTX, nowadays kepler gk104 performs very bad on gpgpu, fermi 2.0 has better performance, but HD 7870 is cheaper than 580 gtx and performs the same

I saw that deal and as an nvidia fan with a GTX 680 I would recommend the HD 7970 at that price point especially with the free games, that is a crazy good deal and probably isnt gonna last. Nevermind the fact the HD 7970 is a great card as well, cant go wrong here. wink.gif

unfortunately im not from USA and i cant order fron newegg / tigerdirect because i think they only accept US Credit Cards and im an ATI Fan but i want to buy nvidia for this purpose
