Yeah, those numbers are pretty damning. Didn't think they were THAT bad.

I have one of their PSU's, but it's probably manufactured somewhere else and re-branded. (May our resident PSU editor enlighten me on that one)

Asrock boards are all fine and dandy for your average day to day overclock, but as soon as you start pushing hardware it becomes pretty clear that asrock is still clearly behind other brands.

I mean just look at the amount of OCing records done on Asrock boards... you'd actually probably be hard pressed to find one.

I find this interesting...
Quote:
- Samsung 1.23% (as against 1.5%)
- Western 1.63% (as against 2.0%)
- Seagate 1.89% (as against 1.8%)
- Hitachi 3.95% (as against 3.0%)

That means for most of the time people complained about Seagates "shoddy reliability" over WDs, Seagate actually had lower return rates.
Quote:
- Crucial 0.82% (as against 0.8%)
- Intel 1.73% (as against 0.1%)
- Corsair 2.93% (as against 2.9%)
- OCZ 7.03% (as against 4.2%)

And people still recommend OCZ drives why? The Vertex 4 is fine but if you want Sandforce, best be going Corsair IMO.

Actually OCZ doesn't use SeaSonic at all as an OEM.

HEC, Sirtec, and Great Wall are the main ones.

I wouldn't argue with the extreme, that's completely different. =P For me, I just wanted an unlock and got just that.

Please keep in mind that this is a very small segment of data from only one distributor in one country. This distributor may not buy the entire product line, or even assorted product lines from certain manufacturers. I know, for example, that some of that data is significantly different than our internal worldwide data.

These numbers may give you some guidance, but realistically I'd say the margin of error could be +/-2-3% on these, if not higher.

Now if you got the data from 5-10 different distributors, and all those distributors bought the full product assortment from each manufacturer, then it'd be more accurate I guess.

All in all, after looking at that data, I'm not sure what good it really does except start conversations on forums.

Not surprised to see Asus and their motherboard return rate, or OCZ in the SSD field.

I am very suprised about ASUS mobos, granted they are a hge company, potentially putting out more motherboards than others.
