Yep the RE franchise just isn't what it use to be. I blame the action based influence on CoD and BF, not impressed at all.

Lol @ the end of Leon's video, just letting his partner get eaten

But seriously, RE has gone full action. A bit of darkness =/= horror

I totally forgot about RE5 until this popped up. I guess I'll forget RE6 a few months after release. Play it once, forget about it. Disposable.

Strange how I had fond memories of RE1-3 but absolutely nothing on the recent titles.

I'm pretty surprised, I thought people might just be over-reacting but that boss fight looked pretty terrible. That just did not look fun at all.

Perhaps they will never recapture the epic-ness that was RE4.

Playing classic Resident Evil now isn't exactly what I'd call horror, either. It was scary 16 years ago when I was six, but now? Awful voice acting, terrible controls/camera and, at best, terror. Not much in the way of horror, but terror. Even then, much of that terror stemmed from said cumbersome controls.

If you can't achieve horror without crippling the player with nonsensical limitations (why should a highly trained special agent be incapable of moving while aiming, or dodging?) then you probably shouldn't be making a horror game to begin with. Do I wish they'd add more elements of survival or focus more on atmosphere? Sure, but Resident Evil 6 looks like a fine game.

Looks weak. I'll more than likely be passing on this one.
