Need some Headphone/Soundcard Advice

So I have been using the Razer Carcharias, they sounded ok but I've been through two sets, they both lost sound on the left side. First one died after almost a year, the second died in two months. After doing some research into keyboards and buying myself a Filco, I decided to look into everything else. haha

I have a budget of around 100$ for both headphones/soundcard. For the mic I'm going with the Zalman clip on. The soundcard, looks like the Asus Xonar DG is a great budget card.

On to Headphones, from what I've read, I'm looking at these; Samson RH600, Superlux 668B, and Samson SR850. I've read a lot of rave reviews on the 668B's for their price being very good. The other two I have just seen mentioned here and there.

I do quite a bit on my PC but I would like the sound to have a good balance on FPS games and trance music. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HKed9Rvum_w this is what I usually listen to, stuff like that). Those two would be what I listen to the most, I'm not a basshead, but I do like to have some there. I'm open to suggestions on headphones that aren't listed. I'm fairly new to this so, I'll take any help I can get.

I'm also curious, would the Audio Technica ATH-AD700s blow the 668Bs out of the water? Or is the sound comparable with the AD700s just having a more open sound stage?

The Xonar DG is a great sound card plus it's got a headphone amp, which is certainly nice to have. There is also a $10 MIR offer going on until the end of the month, which is certainly a nice plus.

The JVC HA-RX900 is a great pair of cheap headphones with very good quality. I think you'll find them to be an excellent pair.

If these are for gaming only, the RH600s would be the best choice. If you want some more balanced headphones with some bass, the SR850s are the next choice. The AD700s are better than all of those headphones for gaming. Clarity, instrument separation, sound stage all are superior.

Maybe 20% better? I'm not sure, hard to put a percentage on it.

Thanks for the replies.

@Simca Would the SR850s strike a better balance between FPS/Trance music over the AD700s? Also, what do you think about the Fischer Audio FA-011s? Would they be better then all the headphones listed here?
