New keyboard and mouse help

Thread Starter
im going to get a new keyboard and mouse this weekend but after researching for a while i still come up blank on what i want.

I will be getting a r.a.t. Mouse but dont know how much of an improvment 9 is over 7. Or which the best one is.

The one im really stumped on is the KB. I dont know what i should get, i play d3 and dota alot if it help.
The kb has to be backlit (changeable colors would be cool). I have mixed feelings about what switch is best i want the responsiveness of a red but that nice click of blues although some say the clicking gets annoying. Also i would like a keyboard that just makes you say wow every time you look at it if you know what i mean.
Any help would be appreciated, thank you for your time

I play Dota2, and imo key switches will not really affect your gameplay. This is because you tend to bottom out when playing. I'd just recommend getting the key switches that you are more comfortable with. If you're wondering, I've used rubber domes, blue, and am currently using black switches.

For backlit however there is the:

Ducky
Razer Ultimate
Corsair K90
Deck
KBT Pure/Race (tkl)
CM Pro/Trigger

There is probably more, but those are the ones I can think of. Non backlit keyboards can have the "wow" factor as well.

I've heard good thing about those : http://www.maxkeyboard.com/

Also you wont be able to change the colour of the backlight on a mechanical keyboard because there is only room for a single LED under a key.
