SSD Erasing ?

I got a new ssd and im wanting to erase all the old data from my old ssd is there a special program to use for this? Sorry for the dumb question i'm new to ssd's smile.gif

Do you want to simply erase the data, or completely wipe it?
By completely wipe it, I mean to make everything unrecoverable.

Are you going to be selling it?  If you're just looking to re-use it, then formatting it is the best thing to do.

I think I read somewhere that formatting triggers TRIM in Windows 7 if the system is TRIM-enabled. There's always secure erase, though. Blanking out SSDs is so much easier than HDDs.
