Display Port stuck at 60hz

Thread Starter
Hello everyone,
I have this problem, that I've connected my gpu to monitor (analog vga LCD Samsung 740n) via "Display Port to VGA" cable, and the thing is that I can't set refresh rate above 60hz (also the "Hide modes that this monitor cannot display" check box is greyed out)
I've always used 75hz with VGA cable.
What can possibly be the problem?
(p.s. - monitor drivers are installed, and also checked plug'n'play ones)

It's stuck at 60Hz because you don't have an active adapter that will let your monitor talk to the DP jack on your GPU in its native language.
