1st first building - GAMING PC (check compatibility/issues) - 1k budget

Thread Starter
Hi all, this is my first time building a gaming computer on my own. Please feel free to give any advice or comments.

Let me know if there's a compatibility issue or if you guys recommend another piece. Thanks!

My budget is around 1k~ without GPU & Monitor (I already have a gtx 580 and monitor), will be streaming, play all-high on any games(d3/MMO etc) , OC a little bit since I am very new to OC.

I would get a AX850 if its not too much more, sort of as an investment.

Maybe look at better quality cases - you might be looking to watercool in the future?

And a better CPU cooler for sure - again have you considered water cooling?

I am not planning in using water cooling for now, I do not think I will need it because I don't plan on doing heavy overclocking.

Def will check out the AX850 tho.

Any thoughts on the build tho? Will everything run smoothly?
I don't see a graphics card?

Edit: I saw the 580

I would reduce the RAM to 8GB.

The Phantom is perfectly fine for water cooling

Check out the AX 750 or Seasonic X750. Same unit, different names. Gold rating

Yeh, it will be a beast! You might be able to get a mobo cheaper without the onboard graphics.

You don't need an 850W PSU. 750W is completely fine. But hey, if you want to blow away more money for an 850W, go for it.

Reduce PSU and RAM price and get a 256 GB SSD. space gets eaten up quick!

build smoothness looks good.

Look to the Samsung 30mm ram, they are better than what you selected and it is highly recommended here.

For the rest, follow what they other member say, they are right
