1st first building - GAMING PC (check compatibility/issues) - 1k budget - Page 4

I like the build and options you have gone with so far. The only things I would change however are as follows.

Why not use a Green instead of a Black WD for your secondary storage drive? Much more reliable and they are cheaper than blacks.

As well, I highly suggest a 256GB SSD. I use a M4 and it is fantastic as well.

I would go for some better memory that is on the motherboards QVL list as the P8Z77 boards from Asus are finicky about this.

what RAMs do you recommend for the p8z77-v pro? Is the 30nm samsung not good for it? (I can't find the samsung ram in its QVL)

Let me know what you think! Thanks.

Just FYI, desktop memory is 10% off at Newegg. EMCNCHN45

Seasonic PSUs 15% off. EMCNCHN24 That gold PSU is a great deal at that price.

Thanks Lee17. I have read several threads about how good the Samsung 30nm are.

I will be finalizing this build and purchasing this weekend through Newegg/Amazon.
