Any experience with left-handed keyboards?

Thread Starter
I recently got to use one at work for a while on a co-worker's computer and was amazed at how natural it felt. CAD is much easier with the num pad on the left. Anyway, long story short, I am interested in a left handed keyboard. The only one I have found so far that has caught my interest is here: http://www.amazon.com/DSI-Left-Handed-Keyboard-Black-KB-DS-8861XPU-B-V2/dp/B0009S52X8/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1342756068&sr=8-2&keywords=left+hand+keyboard

Can anyone give any advice? Supposedly it has mx blue switches. I will do more research before burdening you guys with explaining blues vs red vs brown to me. This keyboard would be mostly CAD and daily use. Some gaming but that is at the bottom of the priority list. Are their better options as far as left handed keyboards go?

No experience with them, but they look pretty cool. I'm a left hander that's been confused from a lifetime of being in a right-handed world, so some things are hard to adjust to where I should be naturally, but I would like to give one a whirl too.

Not sure if there's a specific you're looking for in your keyboard, as I am a keyboard noob compared to what others know about them on this site, but there's a plethora of them searching google shop: https://www.google.com/search?q=buy+left+handed+keyboard&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a&channel=fflb#q=buy+left+handed+keyboard&hl=en&client=firefox-a&hs=Sx5&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&channel=fflb&prmd=imvns&source=univ&tbm=shop&tbo=u&sa=X&ei=Ed0IUK2rIoOs8ATeoPHICg&ved=0CIoBELMY&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.r_qf.,cf.osb&fp=b5285cc330ad0854&biw=1776&bih=870

Same here. I'm looking for a left-handed keyboard with white backlit, mx black, red or brown is fine rolleyes.gif
I'm operate 3ds max, aftereffects, lots number needa enter. I'm using a numpad on my left with a 75% small keyboard now.
I don't think it's weird when inputting number with left hand, keep mousing with right hand?
I feel like more comfy & ergonomic rolleyes.gif

I guess that is the only cherry mx switch left-handed keyboard in the world doh.gif

Here is a great reference to start understand Cherry MX switches.

Interesting. Is there a way to easily tell if a keyboard has these cherry switches without taking it apart? (Meaning if looking at a used one in a yard sale or goodwill)

OT, I couldn't find any other keyboard either to meet that requirement. Good luck thumb.gif

umnn ....you can tell which switch is it by typing on it. The best way is take a keycap out of course.
I think you should post this on geekhack, they have better answer than me biggrin.gif

That would only apply if you already knew the differences in all of them.
