Indigo Xtreme and HR-02 macho reflow times

Thread Starter
I don't know what I'm doing wrong, but I've followed the instructions to the letter and can't get the IX to reflow. Ive remounted the macho (and another IX kit) and ran ibt for 30 min and still no reflow.

Maybe the hsf is mounted too tight?

Any suggestions?

It could be mounted too tight. Also, you don't have any fans on during reflow do you?

Nope. No fans moving for reflow.

I figured out the cause of the problem, however there is no solution.

By default, the mounting for the macho is too tight for the reflow. When I say by default, anything more than the macho being loose is too much pressure for the reflow process. Secondly, the reflow process will take less than 3 minutes at 85+ degrees. Lastly, it looks like the IX/t1000 was designed for HSF that use a four screw mount. While the macho does have four screws on a section of the mount, they are basically inaccessible while inside a case. The Macho was designed for high pressure contact using two screws, and while this works great with all other TIM, IX/t1000 wasn't doesn't for that.
