My wireless adapter

Wasn't sure where to post this thread so I dropped it here. First off, my wife's build was a success and she is 100% happy with it so far. Secondly there is but a teensy bit of a problem concerning her wireless usb adapter as it's connection to our router is very very poor in comparison to the one I am using and hers is closer to the router. So I'm wondering if its just the brand of adapter it is or if its the bandwidth for it or what. It's a Tenda 300mbps wireless usb adapter. Any assistance in fixing this little nuisance is much appreciated.

'Closer'? Are there any brick walls/wiring.metal?
I improved the wifi signal on my rig by moving it 2m towards the router(went from unstable to perfectly fine)
also improved signal on dad`s pc by rotating it 180 so the wifi antenna is facing the router

Hi there, can her system support a physical card? My experience with USB wireless is that they don't always work 100% from what i have seen. One of the problems I found is that sometimes they tend to get hot. Then they start to lose connection or not run at full speed when you should. Also for some odd reason they then to drop wifi range when the unit is only 30 feet away. At least is my experience with them and is why I use physical wifi cards on the system that requires it.
