So I spilled water on my keyboard...

Thread Starter
And now after it's dried it turns on but the buttons don't work, and sometimes they work but they do weird things like when I press L it logs me off windows.

The weird thing is that it works perfectly on my laptop so I don't know why it's not working on my desktop. I tried plugging it in other USB ports and also tried a PS/2 adapter but it still won't work.

Does anyone know what's going on?

Allow it to dry out for a good amount of time 24hr +. The water is shorting some of the tracks which is making the keys act up.

Have you checked Geekhack lately? If so run a virus checker.

If it is a MECHANICAL keyboard check this:

Any update? This just happened to me. Letting it dry off hopefully it works. It was acting the same way as yours as in random alt or ctrl was being pressed.

If you spill anything on a keyboard, disconnect it immediately and never press any keys as you can short out the board.
