Quick 680 help plz

Thread Starter
Finally saved up enough cash to get myself a 680
I previously purchased a 680 block and I know it's only compatible with reference designs,
Does this mean it won't work with the 4gb versions? I assume it won't just don't know.

Also is it worth purchasing one of the ones that costs like 30 or 50 bucks more than the regular 499 one?
Or can I just overclock the 499 one to be the same as those other ones?

Thanks of you help!

The EVGA 4GB non-FTW has a reference PCB, was reading a build log the other day, he put a reference EK block on it.

EDIT. Here's a link that shows it

The more expensive factory overclocked reference cards are aimed more at folks who don't overclock, the regular cards have just as much chance at overclocking as well as they do, or even better.
If they are on the same PCB, they are basically the same card, the factory overclocked one has a bios with different clocks. Still playing the silicon lottery to get a good clocker, the more expensive ones with higher clocks only guarantee that they will do those factory clocks.
