Deathadder + White on mouse pad = Bad?

Thread Starter
Hi.
Got a QPAD CT and was wondering if the white lines on the mouse pad would be any different to the sensor than the black ones. I doubt it, but I'm a bit unsure since if I try to use my mouse on my white desk in game it barely moves at all and just skips around when I move it. Is this because of the white or is it something wrong with the surface? It seems fine whenever I move the mouse on my white desk while being outside of the game though, but might be the fast movement changes it or something?

The desk surface may have no distinct point to track for the sensor.
White mouse pads have at least a cloth weave or plastic grain.

IR shouldn't really differ as much as a Red LED on lighter cloth surfaces, but the surface material and color of your desk isn't optimal. It will depend on the actual weave if it tracks properly or not.
