Question about CCleaner.

Not sure if this is the right place to be posting this, but I didn't know where else to.

Would CCleaner be able to clean unwanted programs completely from my PC, such as WinRar?

I used the Windows uninstall for it, but looking in regedit it still shows WinRar is still somewhere on my PC.

If so, how would I go about deleting it completely using the program? Is there a tutorial somewhere?

CCleaner should remove it. Its probably just a leftover registry entry.

Alright, thank you. I downloaded CCleaner, I see Cleaner, Registry, Tools, and Options. Is there a specific way to delete these leftover registries? I apologize, this is my first PC build and i'm still learning in's and out's with this kind of stuff.

It may or it may not - but it really doesn't matter. Registry cruft only marginally affects performance; the difference from Win2k to Win2003 for registry ops was 2-5%, which is a small difference for a jump from about 4MB to 20-25MB in registry size. A few leftover 8 byte keys won't slow it down all that much.

If you're really worried about that stuff, you can reinstall windows to make everything fresh - or hunt through your registry and purge sections for various companies that no longer have products on your computer - but I wouldn't bother.
