That's why I said with low brightness cause I like lower brightness and higher contrast. In my opinion Pva panels are better than Ips, I just don't like the blacks and whites in particular, Dells have some problems with black color and on the other hand I have seen lots of Yamakasi monitors (from the thread of this site) where the white looks yellowish (if I didn't worry about this along with dead pixels and bleeding I would probably have a Crossover by now).

I think I like the set up I said above, main monitor should be Tn 120hz (for me it makes difference compared to 60hz) while having a secondary Pva for image editing.

I spend roughly 12 hours a day at computers and I would take 60 Hz IPS over 120 Hz TN. With old CRT screens I could sort of understand claim that 120 Hz is less tiring than 60 Hz but with LCD, frankly, it just does not make sense as if the screen is flickering you have some other issue than the refresh rate of the screen (like, for example, leaky back-light cathode which flickers at some frequency). For productivity the difference between 120Hz and 60 Hz just does not exist while the difference in the viewing angles between TN and IPS is quite significant.

I guess I like the move of things better on 120hz if it's just a misconception of me about hz. Guys, guys somehow I think you look at me as noob saying Tn panels viewing angles and the previous mod told me Ips better other than black.

I have seen one of those famous Dells u2410 and while the red, green, blue colors are looking great, I don't like the blacks (like not at all), thus, I believe PVA are better than Ips.
Secondly, I know about Tn viewing angles (I have 2 of them. one old 60hz and one 120hz) and I would never put them on potrait mode but as far as your position is in the center they look good, of course none of them can be compared to an Eizo but I keep my main monitor at the lowest brightness (for eye fatigue reasons like the mod said) so colors are not an issue for me unless I need to do some image editing where then I have my Eizo for that reason.

And to tell something about those LG, yes 1080p for a 27" is horrible, my friend has a monitor shame size/resolutions and I can see the pictures pixelated when you are standing at the regular distance.

1080p is not horrible on a 27" lol

my 120" Home theater projector is 1080p, is that horrible? (far from it)

PVA panels might be better in blacks then IPS but not as good in other catagories.

Next you cant have good colors and bad blacks, they go hand in hand

TN aside from crap viewing angles their color accuracy sucks as well.

You probably don't sit less than a meter away from your projector do you? 1080p on a 27 inch monitor is pretty bad.

"sight"/ Can you tell me the distance you are looking at that projector? 27" with 1920x1080 is horrible for me sorry. I can see the pixels very clearly, compare a 24" 1920x1200 to a 27" 1920x1080 and you will understand the difference.

I don't care about the colors of my Tn cause I have the brightness to 0, and no you are wrong. You can Have good Red, Blue, Green, Yellow and have hideous blacks and whites. I have seen it, and it can happen.

The only thing I agree with someone above is that it might be my misconception that 120hz is more tireless than 60hz and that happens to like the movement of a 120.

Other than that, I disagree with what you are saying, sorry.

You cannot make a blanket statement that 1080p on a 27" monitor is pretty bad, first off its your opinion not fact, second its relative to the distance you sit from it and your eyesight.

I sit about 3 meters away from my projector

You dont care about the colors of your TN because brightness is 0? that doesnt even make any sense lol

And no you cant have good colors and terrible blacks, black level/quality effects color as well

Whatever I don't want to make more offtopic posts, you can think whatever you want to think.

I know my English is not very good, but I think a lot of people will understand what I'm saying, brightness is 0% on my monitor's settings cause it is my main monitor which I use for a long period of time and I want to strain my eyes in the least way possible.

Okay, I'll say something else here, the distance you are sitting away from the monitor plus the size and pixel density of a 27" 1080p ruins the monitor for me.

I wont answer to the previous statements because yes it is my opinion and I haven't make any test, it is based of my own experience and nothing else.

I want to apologize to all the readers here for my threadcrapping, if any mod finds the need to delete my posts is free to do so.

Actually I too use brightness at 0%, along with contrast at 100%.

Of course, I also use a Trinitron CRT, not an LCD. tongue.gif I do at times turn up the brightness to 75% if I need color accuracy for whatever reason. However, 0% brightness gives a considerably higher contrast-y & saturated image which looks awesome for non-photographic content, which is most of the content I deal with anyway. And not to mention, it looks great at night in a completely dark room with no other lights (I even covered up my monitor's and powerstrip's green power lights; also my HDD activity light is red and PC's power light is disconnected)

EDIT: I forgot an important part - for my OS and on web pages I use an inverted color scheme, specifically very light blue text on a black background. I find the lack of white and bright light much easier on the eyes, and wonder who ever got the idea of making the standard webpage black text on a white background...
