W: Duplicate sources.list entry http://archive.canonical.com/ubuntu/ precise/partner amd64 Packages (/var/lib/apt/lists/archive.canonical.com_ubuntu_dists_precise_partner_binary-amd64_Packages)
W: Duplicate sources.list entry http://archive.canonical.com/ubuntu/ precise/partner i386 Packages (/var/lib/apt/lists/archive.canonical.com_ubuntu_dists_precise_partner_binary-i386_Packages)
W: You may want to run apt-get update to correct these problems

How can those be dupes? One is 32bit the other is 64bit?? confused.gif

It means you have dupes of both entries. Go through your sources, I'm not on debian atm so I can't recall the other directory where sources are stored. It's /etc/apt/some folder, arch doesn't have apt. =P

There is a folder that gets used for other sources in /etc/apt, if you have dupe sources I'm betting it's in there. They won't do anything though, just show up as a warning so you don't have to panic or anything. /etc/apt/sources.list.d/ check that folder, I had to use the internets to find it's name

Try removing "deb http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ precise-proposed restricted main multiverse universe"? You already had this entry.

he has one universe and one multiverse? That just seems like an absurd sources.list, TOO many for my liking.
