Case replacement for the NZXT M59.

Thread Starter
My rig upgrades haven't come in the order I had hoped, so I am now sitting with An I7 3930k, that's being cooled by a Corsair H60, Hoping to move up to the H100, but my M59 will not accommodate that. Looking into the Tempest, it will fit the H100 and offer moderate upgrade-ability. NZXT seems to make a good product and it seems like a steal for these cases at $70 and $80 respectively, am I missing some glaring weakness?

Hey,

I have the tempest 410 elite and it seriously is a great case to have. The only part that I personally don't like about it is the top fans. You have to screw those in from inside the case and then put in the motherboard. I actually clean my fans every month or so and it's pretty annoying taking out my motherboard.

This is how I have my top fans now

Other than that, cable management is pretty good. My only faults are the SATA powers from my PSU, but that's fine.

Also, I up'd from the M59.

Ya, I had the XION Solaris...bought the H50 only to realize I couldn't mount a 120 MM fan lol. So...I zip tied it to the outside of the case. I'm hoping this will be my last case upgrade for a while, as it has everything I could conceivably need. Out of curiosity, do you have any pictures of the inside? Like CPU cooler,RAM.

You should check out the community for pictures. I'm sure you can find plenty there. I am going to post mine soon.

It is now a toss up between the Corsair Carbide 300R, the NZXT Tempest, and the XION Predator

Tempest evo is a great case, only real drawback is the lack of USB 3, but you can fix that with a 5.25 bay adapter. Like this

I'm not terribly concerned with USB 3.0, at present I have no devices that use it.

I can accept that. But is there a specific reasoning? Never owned anything besides XION and NZXT, but am willing to be persuaded.
