I honestly love this cooler, but I think I'm gonna move on to another one soon, it just looks... A bit to bland compared to other flaming red (literally) coolers on the market.

7870 Ghz Edition, $299.99, custom cooler, Sapphire card. Sapphire has one of the lowest return rates according to one French retailer and I have favored their cards for AMD graphics cards. Ignore the single 1 star rating, that guy may have had a bad card, he may have had some other issue with his system, you can't tell from his description. They have a good warranty in any case.
Otherwise go used. I'll sell you my 6950 that is unlocked to 6970 for $150 shipped to continental US. It is a Sapphire card, I registered it so it has its warranty, and I can ship in original box. You can flip the bios switch to use it as a 6950 or a 6970. It runs hotter as a 6970 but of course runs faster as well.

You'd have to go above a 5870, which means either an overclocked version, a 5970, or a 6950 and above.

Add another $30, and you can get a 7950.

This is probably the best option if you are willing to go a little over the $300 limit. Great cooler, quiet card, great overclocker, great performance, this is a tough one to beat.
