I work at a computer repair and retail shop, I do a LOT of custom builds, anything from mundance office computers to $4000 gaming rigs. I have used the Twin Frozr cards a lot, I like them a lot, the coolers are really nice, I find them to keep the cards running about 20 C cooler than stock and have good overclocking headroom. Almost all of MSI's Twin Frozr cards are awesome.

Also, I really like the AMD cards. I had always run Nvidia cards, all the way back to the TNT2, and they were all good cards, but I think AMD has really stepped up their game starting with the HD4000 series cards. If you haven't run an AMD card before it is worth doing at least once just to get a feel for the differences. If you are really into computers that is.

Price after rebate is USD 310. best bang for buck card in the market. Period. comes with a high quality HD 7970 PCB. newegg user reviews and this hardforum post confirm it.

clock for clock HD 7950 is close to HD 7970 perf. here is a HD 7950 OC (900) compared at stock and OC'd to a HD 7970 (925 Mhz)

http://www.hardocp.com/article/2012/03/01/xfx_radeon_hd_7950_black_edition_video_card_review/8

HD 7950 OC cards easily do 1 - 1.05 Ghz at stock voltage and 1.1 -1 .15 Ghz with voltage tweaking. And the best part is comes with 3 game download coupons. If you don't need the games you could sell it and bring the cost below USD 300. This card at 1.1 - 1.15 Ghz will give you essentially the Radeon HD 7970 Ghz edition performance for around USD 300. thumb.gif
