Project: Orange

This is going to be short and sweet. I have a ABMX 1U Xeon server that is black, ABMX=Supermicro. It's all scuffed up and needs a new paint job. Since it's running Ubuntu I'm going with orange.

Here is the server:

Fairly plain and doesn't really stand out. So I picked up a can of Krylon Pumpkin Orange:

I also snagged some Ubuntu decals that you'd see on PCs that have Ubuntu pre-installed:

If all goes well with the weather, I should have it painted this weekend. The stickers, are "in the mail" so who knows when they'll be here. I will post progress pictures and a final result and thoughts.

Thanks for looking!

Good call.

This server runs a few VMs. The most used VM would be FreePBX that runs well...my PBX tongue.gif

Xen is a nice choice.

It runs on a lot more "non-certified" and consumer grade hardware than VMWare.

Where do you have it installed? I run mine off a USB flash disk and use an internal RAID1 and an iSCSI as VM storage repositories.

I have two drives in the 1U that are running in RAID 1.

Sorry I have't even painted the server yet! It's been raining so I can't get it outside to paint.
