First Build ~1200 USD

Thread Starter
Hi I am looking to purchase a new computer. I am trying to cut the price some. I want to be able to play games on high settings at 1080p and possible stream. I mainly play LOL and WOW but i might get back into BF3 and some other games. I have some hardware in the picture. Let me know what you would change in order to make it better or a little cheaper.

not a bad build at all. The only potential problem I see is the ram since the Hyper is a sizable heatsink. Maybe consider some lowwer profile ram to be safe. Maybe even the famous, samsung golden ram that OCs like hell thumb.gif

Also I am pretty sure we could come up with a build that can fit a 670 in there for that budget, but you may have to skimp on a few other components...

What do you need and what do you have already?? I think you can put together something with a GTX 670 like xRehab wrote.

Let us know what you need.

I need everything except a mouse and a monitor for now. But i would like to have a side window case so i can see my work.

Well, you'll have to play around with this for a while to get a side window case, but personally I would go for performance instead.

Anyway, This has a mouse in it so you could get rid of that. It could also use a cheap 60gb SSD, but I don't know if that is 100% necessary.

EDIT: On second thought, take out the mouse and you could change the HAF 912 to the Antec Nine Hundred and that would be real close to where you want to be..

What do you think?

Looks like a good system. The 3570K is a good processor, and the 7850 can get a good 40-50 FPS in BF3 at Ultra. 8GB of RAM is enough. I currently have 8GB of RAM and it is more than enough for anything I could possibly need. For anyone with 16GB or 32 GB of RAM, it;'s just way too much RAM unless you want to run many programs all at once. But, yea. All in all, good system smile.gif

So i decided to go with what is in the picture. I managed to fit in a 670 and a 120 gb ssd and still got the window in the case. Cost about 1300 USD so a little over budget but i think it will be well worth it. Thanks for all the help and hopefully I will put up a build log of the build process. Giving rep to those that helped out.
