This game has better audio then graphics but actually has amazing audio and its pretty darn immersive.
CS1.6 pretty poor graphics to todays standards and still a ton of people play. So whats stopping the wiiu of having ok graphics?

Edit: On a side note the definition of a "REAL" gamer is also a very subjective thing to say dubbing oneself sound extremely snobby.

my opinion is that a game does not need a stellar graphics to be a good one, it just have to have a complete balance of all the aspects. good gameplay + good story + good graphics = good game. thats why i love my wii, and i will buy wii u.

Like you said it would be good to have good graphics; but just like you said its already an awesome game without the major uplift of graphics ,therefore making it kind of an optional thing to have, no? The core gameplay/atmosphere/immersion/audio is already there just graphics slightly lacking would it really matter if I can run one of these games on superhd1080p? Would it affect the gameplay? Not really. Would you pass the said game just because it doesnt have the latest farfetched gimmicky physics/graphics?

ff7 is an awesome game at it's time, but if they just released that game today with that graphics then i will consider that as a crappy game.

don't get me wrong, i love wii's cartoony graphics, i'm not into "realistic graphics" can't wait till they release wii u.

for me, the essence of gaming, specially RPG's (im RPG FANATIC) are already lost, all they care is GRAPHICS and thats it.

Alright, I get it, it's late, so let me simplify it for you.

A game does not need good visuals to have good gameplay (nor did I ever say it did), however, better visuals are beneficial to the overall experience. Therefore, they do matter to an extent, even if gameplay matters more.

I'm a graphics whore and I can't wait for the Wii U launch. Stop trying to pigenhole people. Only people worried about the definition of a 'true gamer' are huge nerds.

The main reason I hate the Wii has nothing to do with the graphics, it has to do with the total lack of decent games outside of first party Nintendo franchises.

Actually there is quite a few really good games outside of what Nintendo offers if you look for them. Too many good Wii games were shunned by the so called "hardcore gamer" because of the graphics. Many of these games support the standard Pro controller aswell.
