Hey all, I was just wondering what the top of the line memory for the 3930k is. Money is no object, I will probably get 16 or 32 gb of it. CPU will have an H100 and will be overclocked. Use the poll if you don't want to answer. Preferably be available on www.memoryexpress.com but newegg.ca is also fine. Just because it isn't in the poll doesn't mean it isn't an option.

Thanks for any help you might be able to offer! thumb.gif

If I could vote twice it would be either the TridentX or Dominator Platinum. I would lean towards the Tridents though because that's what I own and they have been great to me. Being biased ftw haha

Have you been able to OC them? Isn't the high voltage a problem?
Unfortunately I can't OC them since I'm only on SB and it's only got the 2133 divider. The sticks I have are rated for 2400 but I was able to tighten down the timings a fair bit to 9-11-10-28 pushing 4 sticks. Voltage is definitely not a problem.
A lot of guys over at XS are having good success overclocking them past 2400 though.

I would stick to something that does 2133 or can OC to 2133, many 3930k don't have the IMC to manage 2400Mhz so not really worth the premium price to get really high frequency memory just to find out you can't run that high. Unless you're a benchmark junkie like me 2133mhz should be plenty fast anyway.

But which should I buy? The pc will be used for gaming.
