Suggestions for under 400W PSU

Thread Starter
Hello, I'm searching for a low power PSU and I need some help. The thing is, they're just so many of them and I can't make up my mind.

Why a low power PSU? The rig is a PhII 955, 790X ATX board, Radeon 5770 and 2x4GB DDR3 dimms. I have measured the power consumption at the wall with my inefficient PSU and it never pulls more than 190W, @idle being ~80W. Taking into consideration my PSU's <70% efficiency at idle, I imagine the rig takes some 50-60W, ideally I would like this to be the 20%PSU power of the one I'd buy (so ~300W rated power).

What is a good low power PSU? Antec's Earthwatts was a good option a few years back, maybe the Corsair Cx? Seasonic S12? Do they even make those any more? Are the Antec Basiq Power any good? The price is secondary, I'm looking for quality engineering rolleyes.gif and I appreciate any help

Check the Recommended Power Supplies thread, on the bottom of the list you'll find the Sub 400W category, which contains the majority of the worthwhile units on the market in that output range.

Thanks for all the answers, (virtual) +rep to everyone. XAslanX, if I wasn't such a wise guy about my location you'd have seen I'm not in North America; in Europe Rosewill doesn't exist (yet).

I have found a guy selling an S12II 400W so maybe I'll get that, otherwise the Basiq 350P or the Green 380W. For some reason in Eu there are always fewer options, even European brands like Bequiet sell fewer types of PSUs over here.
