I agree.

On the other side of the overpass, people can get Verizon since it is the older side of town. We live on the AT&T side...SO we have Comcast.

Comcast already has done something if you currently have Blast or Extreme internet you are getting a free speed upgrade. Blast 25MB to 50MB
Extreme 50MB to 105MB . Now this free speed upgrade seems limited to the Northeast part of the country and anywhere where FIOS is at also.

Yeah, I live outside of Oak Ridge, TN and have the 25(advertised as 30Mbps with boost) through comcast. They said they know nothing of a free upgrade to 50 for our area, so I am assuming it is due to no FioS here. Shameful imo.

Same here and after seeing this thread I called to ask why my speeds were so slow and was upgraded to the 30 mbps package. Ill see how it goes and if I actually pick up some speed.

Don't forget, every time they introduce a new service, there's an opportunity to change the terms of service and conditions. Any guesses about this new wonder-service and "The Government will record and spy on your every keypress while using this service. All your base are belong to us." terms?

exactly. not to mention the cap.

at least they're pushing out a faster tier though. they could just be sticking with 105...

Can't wait to see the price one this...

Comcast: "Order now and receive SuperMegaXFast Internet for only 9.99 a month when you sign up for 1 year*"

small print:
*half a month only, 199.99 after that for 11 1/2 months
