I've found the higher the CPUPLL the better the cinebench scores. I think you should try it at 1.8 or 1.87 and your cinebench scores will improve.

cool smile.gif cheers mate will give it a go thumb.gif

is it normal for temps to reach 75-80 with 1.408-1.430 vcore? its just some one over at ROG forum was getting max temps of 65c at 5ghz with about that kind of voltage, maybe more. he wasnt using prime tho...some other stress test

maybe my chip is just bit hotter, i'm considering buying a new one and selling this one.. or might try out that Indigo Xtreme themal paste. - looks a bit scary tho having to 'burn' it in by running prime without pump going ohno-smiley.gif

Seems about right.

My opinion below

Lots of people get lost in getting prime stable as if that proves anything. I don't think it proves anything, AIDA64 stress test might be more realistic test of the stability of your system. thumb.gif

There are two types of stress test to check overclocks. One: realistic tests. Two: un-realistic tests.

The two that fall into the un-realistic category are prime95 and linpack (linx/IBT).

Why are those two so un-realistic ? Well, look at the CPU power load when running linx/prime95. It usually loads out on my system at about 215-225W and can jump to 250W !!!!

Please show me one program that I'm going to use daily that will put that kind of load on this CPU.

I built this system as a 3D render/video encoder. When rendering the most intense scenes, my CPU never breaks 190W at 4.9Ghz. Same during the chimp challenge, my SB-E folded for 8 of the 10 days and never broke 190W (and never crashed either).

So now I ask a rhetorical question... Are you going to find the next prime number or use that thing ? thumb.gif

Prime95 & IBT are good for computer builders (workshops), for normal consumers there is no common sense for using something like that. Just run software which you normally will use and when happens something increase settings. 12 hours of burning and if happens something again - no thanks offtopic.gif

No need to run that long i guess , best test stability just play game over 2 hours , if its fine without lag or freeze or shut down anything then its good to go

It kinda cracks me up how people hate on the H100 so much in this chipset line up. I have an H100 and that thing is a boss. 4.6 ghz @ 1.35v and highest temps i see are 72. It's not a 24/7 cpu but still, it works better than any air cooler i have seen/had.

wasnt hating on the H100 at all, far from it.. My experiences with the one i had weren't great, thats all i was saying.

i did also say that the H100's are good, and some people have fantastic results with them, but there's also many other people that haven't had so much luck...
