Alright guys so pretty soon im going to be building the computer ive always wanted to make (money is essentially no issue) and along with it I want to have the setup of my dreams (speakers and sound card)
Now here is the background- About 8 months ago i switched from an on-board sound card to the Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium HD 24-bit 96KHz PCI Express x1 Interface Sound Card powered by THX TruStudio Pro. Instantly loved the difference in the sound, even though its not essentially a audiophile card (i used it for gaming as well) i still loved the difference.
I used this along side my Logitech Z-5500 THX-Certified 5.1 Digital Surround Sound Speaker System.
Now the point- I love how it currently sounds but if i opt out for the cash can i make a much better surround sound 5.1 speaker system? or is my current setup at the point where i will see diminishing returns to the amount of money i spend (as in even if i spend 500 dollars more i will barley hear a minimal difference)?
Money is not really an issue but i dont want to go over (speakers and sound card included) around 1000. The best bang for your buck would be optimal at around 700-800 dollars.
Here are some answer to questions that will help you guys give me better suggestions.
State your music tastes-
I Listen to Mostly House/ Trance/ electronic/ some dubstep; Oldies R&B some pop and hip hop (almost in that order).
State what perks are highly desirable (low impedance, heavy bass, excellent for gaming etc..)--
A setup that has true sound for the music im listening to (NO HEADPHONES) 5.1 speakers and bass/loud is prime, but above all crystal clear quality with bass and surround sound.
I do game occasionally so if needed i will just pop back in my xfi titanium (since i will prob keep that)
State how you are going to use the item (e.g. out-and-about, at the gym, at home, PC / console, gaming, music etc). The more detail in this, the better.
This is HOME USE! mainly from my PC since all my music is stored on it (if you need more info feel free to ask)
State where you live and offer some sites that are known for having good prices / being reputable so we can help recommend you products in your country's currency (like Amazon or ebay).
I Live in LA California- I dont mind using any sites if they are reputable, but i trust Amazon and Newegg the most.
I would really enjoy what you guys have to say/suggest (especially if your knowledgeable/professional in the area of expertise)
Reputation will be added for well throughout suggestions and considerations, Thanks!
