G700 Polling Rate stuck at 125Hz

I literally just purchased a G700. I plugged it in, and then downloaded SetPoint 6.32. The first time I opened it, it didn't recognize my G700, so I just restarted my computer and it appeared. From there I went to set the CPI and polling rate and other features.

EDIT2: I think this might be a problem with SetPoint. When I change the CPI to something crazy like 5700, nothing changes... So this leads me to believe SetPoint isn't even applying the polling rate in the first place.

I wrote a small program that records all mouse movement and estimates the frequency. The frequency estimation is 99.9% accurate because it is based on the system clock, which based on your cpu, generaly ticks at around 3 microseconds (1,000,000 microseconds = 1,000 milliseconds = 1 second), and with this kind of precision I've been able to account for the program execution time and other variables. Also, the XY input is directly from Windows, using the most raw input you can get...

When I tested my Naga this is what I got:

When I tested my G700 this is what I got:

What gives? I spent a lot of money on this mouse so that I could have high spec for a wireless mouse?!

Note: Windows Mouse Speed is at 6/11 and "Enhanced Pointer" is disabled. Mouse CPI is at 1700 and poll rate is SET to 1000. Also, in the power settings, I have it set to "Max Gaming".

Edit: I just tried it connected with the wire, same result >< God I hate returning stuff to Frys, I can see it now. "Sir what's the problem with this product", "The polling rate doesn't live up to it's specs", "Sir, what's polling rate and can you describe this in more detail, also sign all 600 pages of these legal documents outlining return agreements.."

Set the Polling rate lower and try again.
Make sure you are using the latest drivers and software in combination for the mouse. Use USB 2.0 and check that the USB settings are set correctly in the BIOS. Are all motherboard chipset drivers installed, which will also determine how the USB controllor is used?

Hope this helps you. Good luck"!

No, I don't have all the chipset drivers installed, but these have only proven problematic for me in the past when I did install them. I'll install them and see what happens, as well as your other suggestion and I'll post back here.

Thanks

Thanks, this did the trick. I guess it never occurred to me since my Naga didn't have the problem without it installed.

Thanks again.
