Will I notice a difference - Page 2

Yes, games would definately be more fluent and less spikey (fluctuation between max and min FPS). For games that push your GPU to 99% usage already, the gain would be minimal. But yeah the upgrade is worth it. Not a shocking difference but definately noticeable.

Do you have that chip overclocked? If you have that thing at 4.0 don't bother at all. Yes there will be a difference but it's pretty minimal. Those Thuban chips are still great chips and while the Intel chips are better it's not really much of an upgrade. Unless your current chip is no longer capable of doing what you need from it there is no need for an upgrade. There are always going to be newer chips that are better then what you have but if you keep upgrading you will be swapping hard ware on a monthly bases. In conclusion all you have to do is ask yourself whether or not your current chip is doing everything that you want out of it. If it is (which it should be for gaming and most applications) then don't bother upgrading. I'm still running the P55 platform because it does all that I ask of it and if that chip is doing everything you need then save your money and hit the bars.
