Reccommendation?

Hi, I'd like to learn some programming languages, I'm 16 years old, and am aware of the following; C++, Perl, Python, Java, C#, C, PHP, Visual Basic, SQL, and Ruby. Out of those, which do you think would be the most fun to learn along with easiest and usability? Also which programs should I use to aid in my learning? I'm using Ubuntu btw, so linux compatibility is a must. redface.gif

There is quite a few of these threads out there here is a link to the sticky i wrote a while ago

[FAQ]Coding and Programming FAQ (In
Progress) *UPDATED 12/9/11*

Your probably going to get a response of a ton of zealots who are like ZOMG YOU CAN ONLY PROGRAM IN THISSSSSSSS but it doesn't matter where you start. Object Oriented Programming is where your going to want to start (generally considered the easiest to understand) which most people suggest VB.net, C#, C++ or Java for it. My personal suggestion is Java its where I started and it's pretty easy to understand. What matters is understanding the concepts and not memorizing syntax. The following is a list of what you'll need to get started.

IDE: (Integrated Development Environment: Aka where you write your code)
Other Install Info:
Tutorial:

This is my suggestion let me know if you need anything else. Also everyone following me please remind me if i forgot something important.

I went back to windows 7 because I'm not ready to code on an operating system I'm new to. I've downloaded a lot of software for my learning however. Python 3.23, JDK 7u5, Eclipse ide for java developers, and notepad++. I feel java is a great recommendation for beginner programmers, lots of great and fundamental programs and games have been made with it, like minecraft which is very popular. Any other newb tools let me know. smile.gif
