Yeah... only if they explicitly state that X improvement is for CF. Otherwise it will be compatible with single gpu setups. App profiles are basically quick fixes instead of releasing whole new driver. I do agree that this isn't pointed out correctly on the download page and therefore makes it quite ambiguous.

Same here. I never used them until I did further research. By the time I found out, I already was using Xfire.

CAPs are just there in order to update the drivers for games that did not make the official Drivers. They get included in the next official release so you don't really miss much. Just get CAPs if you try to play the latests games and want the fix or the performance they give.
