Hey guys right now I have a Sapphire Dirt 3 6950 2gb running my eyefinity display at 5760 x 1080. My plan for a long time was to crossfire 6950s but I need a new power supply. When the 7xxx came out I told myself I was not going to get them and wait for 8xxx in 2013. But Prices have gone down and I have reconsidered. A power supply on the marketplace goes for 80$-100$ . Another 6950 is about 150$-200$. A 7950 is 330$-380$. I want to be able to max out or play all games on at least high settings besides bf3. I dont know what to get if I get crossfire 6950s then next year when I finally get a job I can buy the 8970 over the summer and be set. If I get a 7950 I will crossfire it next year and get 9xxx. So what is the best price/performance on eyefinity?

All in all great cooler for the money and has always worked reliably. Excellent for a backup cooling system or for low-cost budget computers, while still being able to overclock.

Don't go for a HD 6950 CF. HD 7950 OC cards overclock easily to 1.15 Ghz with slight voltage tweaking. HD 7950 at 1.15 Ghz will give better perf and a smoother experience (no micro stuttering) in eyefinity than HD 6950 CF. The 3GB VRAM and bandwidth really help at eyefinity resolutions. you could post a question in the HD 7900 users thread asking this question.
