Need the best sound card for JVC HARX900/Logitech Z623. Opinions needed plz!

I'm currently using onboard sound card on my mobo and would like to spend no more than $250. I would also love the ability to connect other sources to the sound card along with my PC. A remote would also be amazing. Thanks in advance!

I would buy no higher than a Xonar DG for those.

I would suggest buying better headphones/speakers with that 250.

I paid $75 for the speakers and I got the JVC headphones for free. I also paid just paid $68 for a brand new Titanium HD after I used up $60 of Amazon credit. I game a lot (BF3) and I heard that the Titanium HD's are perfect for gaming and that I should be able to pin point footsteps/enemies a lot better with that sound card. Should I cancel the order?

With a budget of $250-300, what kind of speaker setup can I buy that would blow my Logitech Z623's out of the water?

You should sell the speakers and the headphones and either get a proper headphone or a proper speaker...and since you have 250 dollars I don't see why you can't have both, especially after selling the 2 of those things.

The RX900's aren't THAT bad. The speakers are though. For $250, that's a Dayton DTA-100a, B652's, and a SUB1200, which would absolutely destroy those Logitech speakers. You could also get the amp and some better bookshelfs instead, and get a sub later if needed.

Honestly, you'll notice no difference at all with a sound card with the equipment you have currently. I'd say go for a GOOD speaker setup, and a Xonar DG. Don't get a "multimedia / PC speaker" set, get some real speakers. wink.gif You'll have 1,000x more enjoyment with that and a cheap sound card than you would with a $250 sound card with horrible speakers and amps.

You can hold off on the subwoofer if you get good speakers unless you listen to dubstep. I would get an amp and good speakers for that 250.

Basically sell your Logitech speakers for 75 or w/e on CL, then buy a DTA-100A, Infinity Primus P163s and speaker wire. Then save up for your subwoofer.

I'm leaning towards buying a DTA-100A along with either Pioneer SP-BS41-LR or the Infinity Primus Pn163's along with a SUB1200. What headphone do you folks recommend for gaming/music/movies for under $350??

I hope you're keeping the TiHD too. That's important. That said...DT880s, Ultrasone Pro 750s..Pro 900s...HE300s. Do you have an amp? If not get rid of the DT880s. The HE300s will run with no amp, but shine better with an amp. the 750s don't need an amp. The Pro 900s don't need one but will shine with one.
