what i really want to know is if the corsair vengence 1500 is better than the logitech G35? or the siberia v2
post #13 of 31
1500's are USB, so they are trash.
Im debating between the Siberia v2 and Superlux 668B for me.

I just went from a Soundblaster Tactic 3D Sigma headset to the Sennheiser PC360 headset. Wasn't expecting what I got....Sound is amazing compared to the Sigmas. Great open design. Left, right, below, or above me, I can tell if someone is sneaking up on me in BF3. Was worried about the bass. Maybe it's because I've never experienced true bassy cans, but I didn't find the PC360 lacking bass at all, and I listen to lots of bassy music. Oh yeah, and it's not even a question which one is more comfortable... I would permanently attach these if I could.

If you got 200 dollars to shell out, and are intent on buying a headset. Buy the Sennheiser PC360.

I'm eagerly waiting for my Sennheiser PC 360, right now using the PC 156. Would never use any low end brand headphones like Logitech or any other toys.

Those things you listed are trash.

I suggest buying a pair of Audio Technica AD700 and a Zalman Clip on microphone

Best set up yet.

+1

Gaming headsets are for convenience rather then quality. I had Sennheiser PC350s and they were ok. Reviews say they are "GREAT" but great compared to what? Other gaming headsets? Then yes. But proper headphones? Spare me the marketing please...

I also have Audio-Technica M50 which ****s on PC350s. You really can't even compare the sound quality.

I was going between AD700 and M50 and chose M50 solely because of the extra bass.

I use a logitech desktop mic which works just fine.
I want to upgrade it to an AT2020 but i just can't justify the price tag for what i use the mic for.

Anything over $200 and you'll be throwing money for benefits you'll barely notice. Below $200 tag, AD700 or M50 with a separate mic is your best choice. Can't go wrong with either.
