Which benchmark programs do you pay for ??

Thread Starter
So yesterday during my bench session, I did a run of 3DMark05. However, when the benchmark was complete, the only way to see my results was online. Well being a bench OS, I have no networking so was unable to see my results. As such, I couldn't take a screenshot to submit to the BOT. If I purchased a license I would be able to view results without going online.

Anyways, this brings me to the point of this thread. I'm curious which bench programs are worth purchasing licenses for and which ones you can get away with the free version. Are there some that are worth buying even if you can get by with a free version?

The only bench related programs i've ever purchased are AIDA64 (just because its an all-around useful app) and 3DMark '11... now I'm considering buying a few more of the 3DMark titles..

thoughts?

None, to be honest, I don't see the reason to pay for a benchmarking program when there are many free ones. But that's just me.

I've never bought any, but I do have a few keys that I was given with the purchase of a video card or something like that. They are very handy to have and if I was more of a 3d bencher I wouldn't hesitate to purchase a key.

If you are a serious bencher: all of them. You don't want to be running all 3D11 tests while you are trying to improve physics score, it wastes a lot of time. The same goes for all 3Dmark and PCmark.

You don't need to buy any 3Dmark to get a score. Only 3D11 needs internet connectivity in the free version to see your score.

The only bench software I will pay for is passmark, it's garbage for gfx benches, but everything else is reasonably good and quickly gives me an idea of where I stand.

im all for supporting the companies and purchasing licenses.. if nothing else it feels good knowing that i bought one instead of pirating that im sure is rampant in some parts of the community..
like i said, i am about to purchase a few more 3dmark licenses but i was curious as to what was common for other benchers on the team. naturally i cant afford all of them but a few more now and few more later and i should be good to go.

aside from the futuremark apps, ... not sure which other benchmarks on the BOT have paid license option

as i remember... been awhile since doing anything 3D.. 03 seemed to work and was free and didn't need to be online to see scores.
i think 05, 06 and Vantage needed to buy... but difficult to remember
