Mini-ITX GAMING PC - Page 2

Big things come in small packages!
Personally I love the idea of smaller computers these days. Ideas are changing. Americans are starting to think like Japanese, Japanese want smaller....me, well I want to keep my big car with plenty of leg room, but I want the small electronics! thumb.gif

this was a really good review of the Prodigy, i agree. i saw this video the day he posted it. thanks for reminding me though! ima go watch it and drool haha. +1 rep
most of the threads i see where the Prodigy is talked about, its flooded with sugo fanboys who give no credible information about what makes that case better. one guy in another thread posted a video about silverstones fans which to me, looked like a slow turning fan that was able to suck the fog or smoke into a thick cloud. of course any slow moving fan can do that which proves nothing.
thanks for some insight guys, keep it coming!!!!

I just like the sugo because it is easily the smallest M-itx case taht can fit a full sized GPU. when i was doing my build i wanted to make it as small as possible without sacrificing performance. You can do great things with a Prodigy but its still quite a large case. Ive seen it in real life right beside my sugo at a lan and the prodigy still towers over it. i would say a sugo is 2/3 the size. Mind you i would love to get my hands on one and build a custom loop in it biggrin.gif

Actually, the size volume that the case takes up physically on a desk would make the SG05 1/3 the size. Below is a size comparison of the cases:

36.3 liters - BitFenix Prodigy
14.8 liters - SilverStone Sugo SG07 / SG08
10.8 liters - SilverStone Sugo SG05

I have personally built a Sugo SG05 and there is a ton of room in there, plus you get near silence and great temps. I have tried to work with some of the smaller Lian Li Mini-ITX cases, but this is the best one I have used from a practicality standpoint. lots of room in there to work with your hands and it opens easily for cleaning.
