Hi all. I browsed around a little and didn't really see anything about this so I think I'm good. 
So I'm in the market for some new headphones, I've got some Logitech G930s but I'm less than pleased with them and I'm pretty certain that one of the speakers is blown in them. My plan is to get a new set of headphones now and RMA the G930s to sell when they get back. Then I can buy a new soundcard or something else that I might need.
Budget: $250 is the ABSOLUTE max I can spend right now. After the G930s are gone I should have a little more, maybe even sooner than that.
Music: Everything but country. I listen to mostly rap, rock and electronic, but I can't rule anything out.
Perks: Uh, I don't really know what impedance is. Bass is pretty good I guess, and I will be gaming on them...
Other Products: Onboard sound. No amp or anything.
Use: I need them to work on both my desktop and my laptop which means they will be traveling with me. Both have onboard sound right now but I can get a soundcard for the desktop and I think that USB soundcards are a thing. I'll use them for everything, gaming, music, movies, etc.
Location: US, I buy from Newegg and Amazon a lot. eBay works too. Pretty much any reputable site if they are a good deal.
I've been looking around a little and found these HD 598s that look pretty nice but I don't really know if they are. I'm gonna need some help with headphones, a mic and a soundcard if it is really gonna be that important. If I didn't explain something let me know. Thanks in advance.
