That's a nice rig, but it's over budget, doesn't include a monitor (which I'm guessing is needed - I included a very nice one) and is overpowered for what is going on. Also, 320GB HDD? 1TB would be better.
OP, don't come to OCN for build advice unless you want to go over budget and have a gaming rig regardless of whether you need it!

heck read the op, it dosn't need a monitor and she runs all her stuff of a usb,
and this is the most cpu power we can get for the budget... we think,
+the gpu , well it always helps to have one.

In that case then I'd take out the monitor, throw in a little more RAM and get a mid-range GPU and still be under budget wink.gif She doesn't need a gaming rig (though the one I posted, with those adjustments, would still play games well). 1TB HDD isn't going to hurt wink.gif

I dunno if it's just me but when someone says "the budget is $XXX" I always try to stay under it while building an acceptable PC! I also used that CPU in my GF's PC just recently (she does a little bit of photoshopping herself) and I was blown away by how good it was. Not exactly my i5-2500k...but still fantastic and the best part was it was SUPER cheap.

check the review if you want, it is from tpu so it is reliable too but the 2600K build will kick ass

and the title says "ULTRA-Budget" Staying under budget while getting the best parts = priority. Not building a gaming rig with parts you don't need.

What have you posed that laughing smilie like it's a joke?

http://www.hardwareheaven.com/reviews/1405/pg5/sapphire-radeon-hd-7770-overclocked-graphics-card-review-battlefield-3.html

The HD7770 is a very capable card and would suit a mid-range gaming PC. A GTX550 (or similar) would but the absolute MAX I'd bother with for a Photoshop system since it doesn't need anything more higher spec'd. It's mainly about having capable VRAM instead of shaders and such.

I built my friend an i3-2300, GTX460 768MB 4GB RAM system last year which is very capable and still slightly over kill for what he does, and he works professionally. I only got him such a large card because he uses Maya for 3D modelling.

EDIT:

http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/312897-15-best-graphics-card-photoshop

in fact this system, would benefit more from an SSD than it would a graphics card. Adobe have "Any openGL 2.0 capable graphics card" for GPU acceleration. So an 8800GT would do just fine.

You were complaining about the 2600k though.

I'd just get a small SSD (8GB would be enough) for a scratch disk.

I wasn't complaining at all. It's the overkill GPU's I'm more bothered about. They're uncessary. And an SSD of around 60GB-80GB would do, along with a platter based drive for storage. 80GB for the OS, including PS.
